Who are we?
Parkwood Camera Club is a club for digital and film stills photographers. As well as digitally presented competitions, we also hold print competitions, suitable for both digital and film images. For images shot on film, to enter a digitally presented competition, images would require scanning. Beginners are welcome as are enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Where do we meet?
We normally meet at
Parkwood Community Centre, Parkwood Green,
Gillingham, except for the 2nd Monday in each
month, and some other dates, when we meet at the
44 Two
Social Club in Gillingham. (See Programme). Both
venues have bar facilities.
Is there a subscription?
Our activities and equipment are financed from membership funds. There is a yearly payment of £30 per photographer each September (click here for other rates). Photographic activities range from external outings to internal talks, studio light sessions with models, and computer workshops. Members may take advantage of our Studio Lighting and our Computer and Inkjet Printer Calibration equipment. A small fee (usually no more than £5) is sometimes charged for Studio sessions to pay for the models.
Do we have a blog or a bulletin board?
Parkwood Camera Club has its own "flickr" Page. where our members can upload new images and discuss topics. You will see that our members are a group of enthusiasts from all walks of life and take many different types of images including Landscapes, Urban, Seascapes, Portraiture, and Abstract.
